In these terms and conditions ´The Seller´ means Salons Direct Ltd and ´The Buyer´ means the purchaser of goods from ´The Seller´ under these terms and conditions.
Salons Direct Limited operates exclusively as a wholesaler, it does not sell directly to the General Public. It does not deal with Consumer Sales. All sales are to the Trade. By placing an order with Salons Direct Limited you are confirming that you are not a Consumer for the purposes of the Consumer Credit legislation and for the Purposes of Sale of Goods legislation and that you are in business and purchasing the goods for the purpose of that business and not for personal use. All products sold on this website are intended for those qualified in the hairdressing or beauty trade and are for sale on a trade only basis. Customers should be qualified to use the products sold on this website. Goods are sold on the understanding that they will be used for their intended purpose. No responsibility will be accepted by The Seller, for trained or untrained personnel without qualified supervision using or mis-using equipment supplied by The Seller. If you are a business customer, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are insured for products that you are using and we reserve the right to ask you for proof of professional status.
Prices and special offers are correct at the time of goods being displayed on the website but are subject to alteration without prior notice. Prices are exclusive of VAT at the ruling rates and delivery costs. VAT is not charged on educational books. It is possible that some of the products in our catalogue may be mis-priced. If a product´s correct price is lower than the stated price on the website, we will charge the lower amount and send you the product. If a product´s correct price is higher than the price stated on the website, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before despatch, or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation.
Payment is due in full prior to despatch of goods if a credit arrangement is not agreed beforehand. Payment is due 30 days from the date of invoice where a credit agreement exists.
After 40 days a surcharge of 4% of the gross amount will be levied on a daily basis.
If you use this website you will be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer to prevent unauthorised access to your account. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. You must ensure that the password is kept confidential. If you believe that your password has become known to anyone else, you must inform us immediately.
Salons Direct Limited reserves the right to refuse access to the website, terminate accounts, or cancel orders at our discretion. If we cancel an order you will not be charged.
When you place an order to purchase an item from Salons Direct Limited, we will send you an email confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of your order. Your order represents an offer to purchase a product which is accepted by us when we despatch that product to you. That acceptance will be complete at the time we despatch the product to you. Any products on the same order which are not despatched, do not form part of that contract.
If goods have been ordered in error or are not as expected, please contact our Customer Services Department on 0844 875 7775 to request a returns authorisation number. The relevant reference number must be quoted on accompanying documentation. Goods must be returned within 7 days of receipt, unused, in perfect condition and sent back in it´s original packaging. Carriage for alternative items is to be paid for by The Buyer. The Seller accepts no responsibility for lost parcels without a receipt of postage. Refunds on large/heavy items will be subject to a minimum 10% handling charge. Collections for unsuitable items will be subject to a minimum 10% handling charge. (Collection of goods with a value of £50.00 or less will be subject to a minimum charge of £5.00 per parcel). Porcelain basins and all furniture which has been made to special order cannot be returned. Due to strict hygiene regulations, the Seller cannot accept returns of items such as scissors, clippers, razors, manicure or pedicure implements, tweezers and electrolysis needles which have been used. (This list is not exhaustive). Goods returned damaged due to poor packaging will not entitle The Buyer to a full credit/refund. Your Statutory Rights are not affected.
Please note any items that are sent direct from the manufacturer are non returnable if they are unsuitable. This does not affect your statutory rights. For more information please contact Customer Services.
Goods must be inspected on delivery and all claims for shortages or damages must be reported to The Seller within 24 hours of receipt of goods.
The Seller´s policy is to despatch goods within 24 hours of receiving an order, however this can vary subject to stock availability. Times quoted are in good faith, but shall not be binding. The Seller can accept no responsibility for transport delays causing late delivery. Some furniture orders may take up to 6-8 weeks for delivery, or up to 12 weeks for special order items. Extra handling charge may be incurred for re-despatched parcels.
Orders over £60 placed online have free delivery, to most parts of the mainland UK. This excludes any large or heavy items. £4.95 plus VAT is the standard delivery charge for most parts of the UK. The Channel Islands, Offshore islands, Highlands, Scottish Islands and certain areas of the UK may vary according to the size and weight of the parcel. Special delivery charges will be quoted on request.
Please ask for carriage charges on the following items; porcelain basins, washpoints, hydraulic chairs, barbers chairs, portable, hydraulic and electric couches, large chairs, nail stations, reception desks and other large furniture items. This list is not exhaustive.
We welcome orders from anywhere in the world. Please remember carriage will vary on destination and weight of parcel. Carriage will be calculated at the end of your order. If there are any issues regarding the order, a member of our call centre will contact you prior to despatch. When ordering goods from Salons Direct Limited for delivery outside the United Kingdom you may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied once the goods reach the specified destination. Any additional charges for Customs clearance must be paid by you; Salons Direct Limited has no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. If you are ordering goods from outside the United Kingdom, it is your responsibility to comply with all the laws and regulations in the country in which you are receiving the goods.
Prior to despatch, non standard items such as furniture/special order items, cannot be cancelled. Cancellation after despatch cannot be accepted.
All products are subject to stock availability. Stock availability is shown on the website, however if we have insufficient stock to fulfill the order, we will notify you by e-mail at the address given by you in your registration form. Stock is allocated on a first come first served basis once your order reaches our main server. The Seller doesn´t guarantee the availability of any item based on stock figures shown.

You may not extract or reutilise part of the contents of the website without the written consent of Salons Direct Limited.
Salons Direct Limited grants you a limited licence to access and make personal use of this website, but not to download (other than page caching) or modify it, or any portion of it except with the written consent of Salons Direct Limited. This licence does not include any resale or commercial use of this website or its contents, any downloading or copying of account information for the benefit of another seller.

Salons Direct Reward Points will be issued on all orders over £50 (excluding carriage and VAT) placed online or through the Top to Toe Beauty Catalogue and may not be transferred. Reward Points are not issued on orders placed through the Head to Head Hair Catalogue. Every 3 months you will be sent a statement of how many points you have accrued and you can redeem them for High Street Gift Vouchers (minimum voucher redemption is £6). Every £1 spent will give you 3 Reward Points, so £200 spent gives you 600 points, which can be redeemed for a £6 High Street Gift Voucher. High Street Gift Vouchers are accepted by over 75 top retailers, including Boots, Debenhams, The Body Shop, Comet, House of Fraser, HMV, Warehouse, Mothercare, New Look, Waterstones, WH Smith, Argos and many more.
Salons Direct reserves the right to cancel any Reward Points, which have been accrued to customers whose accounts are repeatedly overdue for payment. In such an event, The Buyer will be informed in writing, and from this time no further Reward Points will be allocated to the account. It is not necessary to redeem your Reward Points each time your statement is issued but there are limits to their validity. Unclaimed Reward Points on accounts, which have been dormant for 12 months or longer, will be cancelled. In the event of an account being formally closed all Reward Points, which have been accrued but not redeemed will be cancelled. Credits will reduce your Reward Points total. Reward Points will only become valid once the order is paid for in full. Reward Points are not available to college groups or bulk buying groups and orders with any discount given are not eligible for Reward Points. A nominated person must be made responsible for redeeming vouchers. The Buyer must have earned a minimum of 600 Reward Points in order to redeem any High Street Gift Vouchers. Reward Points are available to UK customers only.
Salons Direct shall be entitled to cancel or delay delivery of orders if it is delayed, hindered or prevented from delivery through circumstances beyond its control. Such circumstances shall include (but are not limited to) industrial action, accident, fire, Act of God or failure to deliver by suppliers or carriers.
All offers are subject to stock availability. The Seller reserves the right to restrict or refuse any order for application of credit at any time. The Seller takes special care to show correct sizes and specifications and such descriptions, whilst given as a guide, in good faith, are subject to alteration by The Seller without notice. All colours are as near as can be displayed on a computer monitor.
In order to maintain the highest standards of customer service and to help with the training of new staff, we sometimes monitor and record calls.

All items are guaranteed according to manufacturer´s warranty. All glass items are specifically excluded from this guarantee.
These terms and conditions and all contracts entered into under them are governed by and are to be construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales in relation to any contract entered into under these terms and conditions.
1. The risk in all goods passes to The Buyer upon delivery but title in the goods remains vested in The Seller and shall only pass from The Seller to The Buyer upon full payment being made of all sums (due on whatsoever account or grounds) to The Seller.
The Buyer agrees, prior to the payment of the whole price of the goods, The Seller or appointed agents may enter The Buyers premises to collect such goods should The Seller request. Prior to such payment, the Buyer shall keep the goods separate and identifiable for the purpose and return the goods to The Seller should The Seller request.
