how to order |
Searching for products
To locate individual products by their item numbers, as shown in our catalogue,
simply enter the required number under ‘Text search’ within ‘Search for
product’, making sure the drop down search box reads ‘Product Code’.
Alternatively enter a word that may appear in the product description, in the
same way, making sure you select ‘Keyword’ from the drop down search box. The
items requested will then be displayed on screen for you to add to your basket.
Coloured section links, under ‘Select product’, have also been provided for you
to browse the site at your leisure, guiding you through the various product
groups enabling you to add items to your basket.
Adding items to your Basket
Products displayed on screen will have a default quantity of one. Simply click
the ‘Add to Basket’ button to include the item on your order. Should you
require more items, replace the quantity given with the required amount and
click ‘Add to Basket’. You will then be taken to your basket to either amend
quantities, remove items or to ‘Proceed to Checkout’. Stock is allocated on a
'first-come-first-served' basis once your order reaches our main server. The
Seller does not guarantee the availability of any item based on the stock
figures shown.
Checkout Process
Alternative delivery addresses can be entered here, if different from your main
address previously given upon registering with our site. Your payment details
will also be required, including the registered card address, again if
different, and your card security digits featured on the signature strip.

All orders placed through www.salonsdirect.com must be paid for by credit/debit
card prior to the despatch of any goods. We accept all major credit/debit
cards. Credit card authorisation will take place at the time order confirmation
is placed by the customer and payment will only be taken at the point goods are
despatched. Goods that are out of stock at the time the order is placed will be
despatched when they become available and the corresponding invoice amount
charged to the credit card at the point of despatch. All card payments will be
processed upon despatch of items. Confirmation of an order received will be
sent by e-mail to the customer. Orders will only be deemed accepted by Salons
Direct on receipt of this confirmation e-mail.
Delivery
Our policy is to despatch goods within 72 hours of receiving your order,
however this can vary depending on stock availability. Estimated delivery times
are given in good faith and are for guidance purposes only.
Postage and Packing
£4.95 plus VAT is the standard price for most parts of the UK. Furniture items
purchased may be subject to additional carriage charges. Prices available on
application. Charges for the Channel Islands and offshore islands may vary
according to size and weight of the parcel. For all overseas orders, customers
will be notified of the charges to be applied by e-mail before goods are
despatched.
Shortages and Damages
Goods must be inspected upon delivery and any claims for shortages and/or
damages must be reported to Salons Direct within 24 hours of receipt. This may
be done either by e-mail to sales@salonsdirect.com, or by calling our customer

Overseas Orders
We cannot process orders or despatch goods to countries where we are prohibited
from doing so by law. Please note that orders cannot be cancelled after

Our policy is to despatch goods within 72 hours of receiving your order.
Delivery times may vary depending on stock availability.
For the purpose of deliveries, UK addresses are defined as being in England,
Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and all BFPO addresses. For all other
destinations, carriage will be calculated separately and notified to the
customer by e-mail along with the estimated time to delivery.
All parcels despatched to a UK address will be sent using Royal Mail First
Class Recorded Delivery or by a nominated carrier.
Salons Direct Ltd. do everything possible to ensure the safe delivery of your
goods as quickly as circumstances will allow.

returns policy |
If goods have been ordered in error or are not as expected, a returns
authorisation must be given by Salons Direct Ltd.
To obtain your returns authorisation details, please call our Customer Service

Prior to the goods being returned. The returns authorisation reference number
given must be quoted on all goods and documentation and proof of posting must
be obtained.
Goods must be returned within seven days, unused and in perfect condition and
sent back in its original packaging.
Postage and packing for any alternative items is chargeable to the customer.
Due to strict hygiene regulations, we cannot accept returns of clippers,
scissors or razors which have been used. Please note this list is not
exhaustive.
Porcelain basins and all furniture which has been made to special order cannot
be returned.
Refunds on large/heavy items will be subject to a 10% handling charge.
Salons Direct Ltd accept no responsibility for lost parcels without the
appropriate receipt of postage.

Salons Direct Ltd value, and are committed to protecting, your privacy. The
information you provide will only be used for the purpose of providing your
shopping experience and processing and fulfilling your order.
For the purpose of processing and fulfilling an order, Salons Direct need to
know your name, e-mail address, invoice address, delivery address (if different
from the invoice address), credit card number and security number, expiry date
and address at which the credit card is registered if different from the
invoice address.
All details are stored in a separate secure server to the web server. The
on-line processing of payments are encrypted and take place through our secure
server. Details of the Secure Server Certificate may be viewed via the Secure
Site logo on the home page.
Salons Direct do not sell, rent or trade any information to third party
companies, or divulge details of account holders or any personal details to
other companies, institutions or individuals other than for legal purposes or
where legally required to do so.
Salons Direct Ltd are registered under the Data Protection Act 1998.

rewards points |
Reward Points are earned on orders of over £50 (excluding carriage and VAT) and
are given at a rate of 3 Reward Points for every £1 spent on such orders.
Reward Points can be redeemed for High Street Gift Vouchers (minimum voucher
redemption is £6). A statement of Reward Points accruals is issued to the
customer every 3 months. Reward Points are available to all beauty salons and
mobile therapists who order from Salons Direct.
Salons Direct Reward Points may not be transferred and Salons Direct reserves
the right to cancel any Reward Points which have been accrued by customers
whose accounts are repeatedly overdue for payment. Unclaimed Reward Points on
accounts that have been dormant for 12 months or longer will be cancelled. In
the event of an account being formally closed, all un-redeemed Reward Points
will be cancelled. Reward Points will only become valid once the order is paid
for in full.
Reward Points are not available to college groups of bulk buying groups and
orders with discount given are not eligible for Reward Points.
A nominated person must be made responsible for redeeming vouchers.
