The Seller's policy is to despatch goods within 24 hours of receiving an order, however this can vary subject to stock availability. Times quoted are in good faith, but shall not be binding. The Seller can accept no responsibility for transport delays causing late delivery. Some furniture orders may take up to 6-8 weeks for delivery, or up to 14 weeks for special order items. Extra handling charge may be incurred for re-despatched parcels.
Salons Direct is not liable for delayed, missing or damaged parcels/contents if a delivery signature has not been obtained where the parcel has been left in a designated safe place at your request . If you choose to have your order delivered to a location you deem as ‘safe’ then the liability transfers to you.
The last day for Christmas delivery is Thursday 22nd of December, before 3pm.
Next Day Delivery
If orders are received and fully completed before 3pm (UK time) between Monday to Thursday, we aim to deliver them the next working day. Your order must be complete and payment taken, before 3pm, to qualify for next day delivery. Despatch times can vary depending on stock availability and any guarantees made as to delivery times are subject to any delays that can result from transport delays or force majeure, for which we will not be held responsible. The Seller can accept no responsibility for transport delays causing late delivery.
Next day delivery only applies to items that are in stock. Does not apply to items that are sent direct from our supplier, or large or heavy items. Next day delivery is only available to mainland UK. Some areas of the UK cannot receive Next Day Delivery - contact Customer Services for more information. Please note, we cannot guarantee Next Day Delivery following a Bank Holiday Weekend.
£4.95 plus VAT is the standard delivery charge for most parts of the UK. The Channel Islands, Offshore islands, Highlands, Scottish Islands and certain areas of the UK may vary according to the size and weight of the parcel. Special delivery charges will be quoted on request. This excludes any large or heavy items. Orders placed online over £30, excluding VAT, to most parts of mainland UK have free delivery. This excludes any large or heavy items. Free delivery over £30 does not apply to orders where a promotional discount has been applied.
Large and Heavy Items
Please ask for carriage charges on the following items; porcelain basins, washpoints, hydraulic chairs, barbers chairs, portable, hydraulic and electric couches, large chairs, nail stations, reception desks and other large furniture items. This list is not exhaustive.
Any furniture ordered will be delivered to front door and ground floor premises only, as drivers are not insured to take upstairs or inside of premises.
We welcome orders from anywhere in the world. Carriage charges will vary depending on destination and weight of parcel, and as such the final order value will be calculated offline by our Customer Contact Centre. For the first 2 orders, full payment will be required by BACS or electronic transfer prior to despatch. After this period, we will accept both PayPal and credit/debit cards as payment methods. Please note, payments can only be taken via our Customer Contact Centre.

When ordering goods from Salons Direct Limited for delivery outside the United Kingdom you may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied once the goods reach the specified destination. Any additional charges for Customs clearance must be paid by you; Salons Direct Limited has no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. If you are ordering goods from outside the United Kingdom, it is your responsibility to comply with all the laws and regulations in the country in which you are receiving the goods.
Prior to despatch, non standard items such as furniture/special order items, cannot be cancelled. Cancellation after despatch cannot be accepted.
Shortages & Damages
Goods must be inspected on delivery and all claims for shortages or damages must be reported to The Seller within 24 hours of receipt of goods.
