Who Are Leaf Scissors?

The goal for Leaf is to produce and source the highest quality hairdressing tools whilst constantly looking for ways to make our business and industry more sustainable.

Our mission is to plant 1 Million trees by 2025. So far, we have planted over 70,000 trees and have provided over 7000 hairdressers around the globe with high-quality Japanese steel scissors and tools.

How Did Leaf Scissors Begin?

Leaf began as an idea at salon international back in 2018 when Steve McManus, the founder of Leaf, identified that although there are some fantastic scissor brands, there was an opportunity for a more nature-driven, sustainability-focused brand.

From this idea, Leaf sprouted! Steve went away and sourced manufacturers that could design high-quality, affordable, long-lasting hairdressing scissors that every hairdresser on the planet could benefit from owning.

After a very thorough design process and lots of testing (6 months worth!), the first Leaf Scissor, the Black edition, was created. From this point, Steve went on to source recyclable packaging and to partner with a charity to help Leaf plant ten trees for every product sold. Fast forward three years, and we are now an international company with amazing customers, ambassadors, distributors and partners and a like-minded community is driven to make a difference.
