Tell us more about how Neocape began?
We are a small family run business that manufactures waterproof protectors for casts using a neoprene seal. A customer asked us about making a waterproof cape that would allow someone to shower when they had bandages on their chest. While making this cape with the neoprene around the neck we realised that it stopped more than just water going down the neck and so we started working with Barbers and Hairdressers to develop the Neocape range.
How does the brand remain innovative?
It is important that Neocape is continually receiving and acting on feedback from our customers. Hairdressers and Barbers are often at the forefront of the latest styles and trends, so we listen, experiment with materials and then act on the feedback.
What makes Neocape stand out from their competitors?
We are a British made quality product that does what it is supposed to do, stop hair and liquids from going down the neck of Hairdressing/Barber clients. Using our flexible neoprene collar, the seal is always soft and comfortable, never to tight.

What are your best-selling products and why do you think that is?
Black never goes out of fashion and so our black Neocape Long Unigown suits the majority of salons and barbershop.
How have trends within your industry evolved over the years?
There has been a strong move towards personalisation and individual salon/shop branding. This has seen a call for a greater range of colours and styles in gowns and capes however, black still has not gone out of fashion.
What has been the brand’s greatest success? Campaign? Product?
We introduced a white gown with pinstripes four years ago to express the trend in barbering for the 1950’s traditional barbershop look – This has continued to be a very popular style.
