How did your salon begin?

My journey began with a clear vision: to create a space that combined my love for beauty, wellness, and interior design. I wanted a place where people could not only get top-tier beauty services but also experience a sense of calm and relaxation. I took the leap into the industry and slowly began putting my dreams into motion, creating the perfect space for my clients and bringing together a passionate team.

What was your initial inspiration for starting your salon?

I’ve always had a passion for interior design, beauty, and wellness. I wanted to create a unique space where all these elements came together. I saw the potential to provide a holistic experience for people, offering services that catered not just to their beauty needs but also to their mental and emotional well-being.

How did you decide upon the design of your salon?

I love everything aesthetically pleasing, so the design needed to reflect that. I started by curating a Pinterest board with my favourite ideas, colours, and themes. I then worked closely with a team of interior designers to ensure that my vision came to life.

What are some of your favourite products and tools to use in your salon?

For me, success comes down to 100% customer service. The experience a customer has when they step into Beautify is of utmost importance. We aim to create a space where people immediately feel at ease, relaxed, and pampered. Our goal is for every client to leave feeling rejuvenated and happy with the service they received.

How do you keep up to date with the latest industry trends?

I stay connected through social media. It’s a great way to follow the latest beauty trends, new products, and industry insights. I also attend beauty expos and events to learn about emerging trends and to network with other professionals in the industry.

What advice can you give to others wanting to open a salon?

My advice would be to take the risk and believe in your vision. Start with a solid foundation – surround yourself with a good team that shares your values and passion. Don’t be afraid to invest in yourself, your team, and the quality of your services. Success takes time, but with dedication and the right mindset, it’s incredibly rewarding.

Can you share a memorable experience that shaped the way you run your salon?

One memorable experience was when we first opened and had our soft launch. It was incredible to see how much people loved the space and the services we provided.

It taught me the importance of paying attention to every detail, from customer service to the ambiance. I realised that the most minor things make the most significant difference in the client experience, and since then, I’ve made sure that everything we do is focused on making our clients feel special.
