Over the last few months, we’ve teamed up with Charlotte from No.4 Salon in West Bridgford, Nottingham, to help her bring her salon’s vision to life.

Charlotte found us online and was excited to try our fantastic Salon Design service. She wanted some guidance on making her salon a beautiful and practical space for both her clients and staff, and we can’t wait to share the results with you!

How it started!

The Brief

 

 

I wanted to create a space which felt light, airy and had a calm atmosphere. I achieve this by using lots of plants against white walls and added some natural wood.

  • 5\6 styling stations.
  • 2 watchpoints with dispensary colour store.
  • Reception desk and waiting area.
  • Coffee station.

First Floor

  • 2 treatment rooms.

Our Inspiration Board

Planning & Design

We made an on-site visit to measure the ground and first-floor areas. Following this, we initially supplied 2D CAD drawings, which were tweaked a few times.

We discussed furniture choices and customers’ visions and recommended what we thought would work.

We also created a large bespoke dispensary unit and a colour store designed to sit behind the washpoint, giving us the below finalised ground floor (hair) & first floor (beauty) layouts.

A meeting was then set up with the customer, building contractor, and Salons Direct team to confirm build specs and lead times. Delivery and furniture installation were also included!

During the process

Our team got to work with ordering and delivering the furniture to ensure we hit the salon opening deadline.

The Timeline

  • Site visit, consultation & 2D CAD & 3D visual approx – 4 weeks.
  • Manufacture of furniture order – 5 weeks.
  • Salon build – approx 5 weeks.

Charlotte’s thoughts on the service…

I used Lee at Salons Direct for our salon design, and he was nothing short of amazing. I had never owned a salon, and he guided me seamlessly through the entire process.

He was so helpful, went above and beyond and felt more like a project manager – available night and day to answer my queries.

When he came to the salon for the first time with Jay, the building contractor, they both gave me loads of great advice and ideas and then worked so efficiently to complete the project.

1. Design Brief

Get in touch with us and set up an appointment with one of our furniture experts. We’ll chat about your salon design ideas and make sure we fully understand your vision.

If you’re interested in custom furniture, including personalised colours, styles, and embroidery, we offer a professional salon planning service in partnership with REM. We’ll arrange consultations and design planning sessions to give you the best advice and support.

2. Planning & Design

Our designers use the latest software to create detailed layouts and floor plans. This ensures your space is used efficiently, equipment is placed correctly, and everything flows smoothly to enhance your clients’ experience.

  • 2D CAD Designs: Get a bird’s-eye view of your future salon! Our 2D blueprints let you fine-tune the layout, ensuring it matches your vision perfectly. Every element, from styling stations to waiting areas, is strategically positioned for maximum impact. These 2D visuals are priced at £150+ VAT but will be credited back on orders over £3000 ex VAT.

 

  • Immersive 3D CAD Designs: Our lifelike 3D visuals bring your design to life, allowing you to explore every angle, texture, and colour choice. This helps you make informed decisions and feel confident before placing your order. Our Salon Design Package, including both 2D and 3D visuals, costs £295+ VAT and will be credited back on orders over £3000 ex VAT.

3. Order & Delivery

Once you’re happy with the CAD designs, our team will assist you in ordering your furniture according to your schedule. Our Lotus Furniture can be delivered in as little as 2 working days. For REM, Takara Belmont, and Lemi ranges, delivery times vary based on customisation (4 weeks+ depending on options).

 

Our Salon Design Package is £295+ VAT; this is refunded on orders over £3000 ex VAT.
