The yellow formula balances pH turning it pink when exposed to lightener still in the hair indicating to rinse again until there is no more pink leaving the ideal canvas reading for toning. The bleach finder will not over-strip the hair, so you can keep washing until the formula stays yellow.
The Bleach Finder formula contains PSP, a pH indicator, that is yellow in acidic conditions and turns pink in alkaline environments. Lightener is very alkaline, so anywhere where lightener particles are still present will cause the lather to turn pink.
