How did your salon begin?
I originally ran a small salon with my sister for three years, which was an amazing experience and taught me so much about running a business. Over time, I felt ready to take the next step and create a bigger space with even more to offer.
That’s how the idea for our new salon was born, a one-stop shop where clients can enjoy not only hair services, but also nails and beauty treatments all under one roof. I wanted it to be a place where people can completely relax, be pampered, and leave feeling their absolute best.
What was your initial inspiration for starting your salon?
My inspiration came from wanting to create a space that was more than just a salon, it’s somewhere clients feel completely comfortable, welcomed, and looked after from the moment they walk in. I’ve always been passionate about transforming hair, but I also wanted to bring together other talented professionals so clients could enjoy a full range of services in one place.
How did you decide on the design of your salon?
The design was actually inspired by the Lotus phoenix range, I loved the warm, caramel and cream tones, and knew I wanted to bring those colours into the space. From there, I built on a boho–Scandi vibe, mixing natural textures, soft neutrals, and earthy accents to create a relaxed yet stylish atmosphere. I wanted it to feel fresh, modern, and creative, but still cosy and welcoming.

What are some of your favourite products and tools to use in your salon?
I’m a big believer that the right products and tools can make all the difference, both in the salon and for clients at home.
My go-to styling tool is always the GHD Classic Curl Tongs, they’re perfect for creating my signature effortless, lived-in waves. For hair care and styling, I’m obsessed with Color Wow products because they deliver incredible results without weighing the hair down.
When it comes to colour, the Danger Jones gloss range is a favourite, it gives such beautiful, vibrant tones and amazing shine, perfect for creating that polished, high-end finish my clients love.
How do you stand out from your competitors?
What sets us apart is the depth and diversity of our expertise. Unlike many salons that generalize, we offer a wide range of treatments under one roof, hair, nails, massages, facials, lashes, brows, and more, each carried out by specialists in their field.
Our stylists and therapists are highly trained in their areas of expertise, from advanced blonding, lived-in colour, and extensions to precision nail artistry, skincare, and beauty treatments.
This allows us to deliver not only exceptional results, but also a seamless, full-service experience tailored to each client’s needs. Our guests know that when they visit us, they’re in the hands of dedicated professionals who combine technical excellence with a personalized, welcoming approach
What do you think makes a successful salon?
A successful salon is built on more than just great hair and beauty treatments, it’s about people. Team morale is at the heart of it: when stylists and therapists feel valued, supported, and genuinely happy in their work, that energy naturally flows into the client experience. A strong, united team that collaborates and lifts each other up creates an atmosphere clients can feel the moment they walk in.
Success also comes from making clients feel not only confident in their results, but comfortable, welcomed, and cared for throughout their entire visit. From the little details to the overall vibe, a salon thrives when both the team and the clients leave feeling happy and looked after. In short, a successful salon balances technical excellence with a positive culture, because when the team is thriving, the clients do too.
How do you keep up to date with the latest industry trends?
We believe staying current is non-negotiable in this industry. Our team regularly attends advanced education courses, workshops, and trade events to refine our skills and learn the newest techniques.
We also invest time in ongoing training within the salon, sharing knowledge as a team so everyone grows together. Beyond formal education, we stay inspired by following global hair and beauty leaders, keeping up with industry publications, and networking with other professionals.
This ensures we’re always ahead of the curve and able to bring fresh, innovative ideas directly to our clients
What advice would you give to others wanting to open a salon?
My advice would be to focus just as much on people as you do on the creative side. Building a salon isn’t only about offering great services, it’s about creating a strong culture and vision that your team and clients connect with. Surround yourself with the right people, invest in their growth, and make sure your team morale is always a priority, because a happy team creates happy clients.
Be clear on what makes your salon unique, and don’t try to be everything to everyone, find your niche and build from there. On the practical side, plan carefully, budget realistically, and be prepared to wear many hats in the beginning. Most importantly, remember why you started: keep the passion at the centre, and let that drive every decision
Can you share a memorable experience that shaped the way you run your salon today?
One of the most memorable experiences for me was early in my career, when I worked in a salon where the team dynamic wasn’t positive. The talent was there, but the lack of support and communication made the environment stressful, for both staff and clients. It taught me that skill alone doesn’t build a great salon; culture does.
That experience shaped the way I run my salon today. I make team morale and happiness a priority, because when stylists and therapists feel supported, valued, and motivated, they deliver their best work and clients feel that positive energy. For me, it was a lesson that a salon is more than just services, it’s the people and the atmosphere that truly define success
What can we expect from your salon business in 2025 and beyond?
In 2025 and beyond, our focus is on growth, innovation, and elevating the client experience even further. We’ll continue expanding our range of treatments, with each area led by specialists to ensure clients receive the highest level of expertise. Education and training will remain at the heart of what we do, keeping our team at the forefront of industry trends so our clients always get the latest techniques and services.
We’re also committed to investing in the salon environment itself, making it an even more welcoming, comfortable, and inspiring space for both clients and our team. Looking ahead, our vision is to not only be a go-to destination for beauty and hair, but also a hub for creativity, confidence, and community. Our clients can expect continuous innovation, consistent excellence, and the same warm, supportive atmosphere that makes our salon unique
